WhiskeyDick is an American country-metal and acoustic duo. The current lineup of the duo consists of Fritz (vocals and guitar) and Reverend Johnson (lead guitar). The group released its debut studio album entitled Rebel Flags and Whiskey in 2006. The duo also carries on the Texas traditions of clever songwriting and super-powered guitar slinging that make lone star music such a worldwide curiosity except for Reverend Johnson.
WhiskeyDick performs truly exciting live shows where two giant, mean-looking, tattooed men saunter on stages and sit down on a chair. They pick up acoustic guitars and then begin to amaze everyone sitting in front listening to these lads. WhiskeyDick generates more power than a full band through triumphant songwriting, unapproachable acoustic guitar heroics of Johnson, and deep and rich vocals of Fritz.
WhiskeyDick has shared the stage with many notable musicians, including Scott H. Biram, Hellyeah, Shooter Jennings, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Pentagram, Foghat, and Bob Wayne Nashville Pussy, Jayke Orvis, Nick Oliveri, Wino, Spirit Caravan, The Supersuckers, and The King DMC.
Some of the notable studio albums released by the band so far include First Class White Trash (2009), Drunk As Hell (2010), The Wicked Roots (2012), From the Devil’s Boots (2014) and The Bastard Sons of Texas (2015).
