Def Leppard is a rock legend that started in 1983 when they released their album Pyromania. That album had hits like “Photograph” and “Rock of Ages,” making them one of the biggest bands in the world. Their sound mixed hard rock with catchy pop hooks and fans everywhere loved it. The band started in Sheffield, England, in 1977 and worked hard to build their name. In 1987, they released Hysteria, which became their most famous album. It included hit songs like “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Love Bites,” and “Armageddon It.” That album sold millions and helped define rock music in the late ’80s.
Even after some tough times, including a car accident that cost drummer Rick Allen his arm, the band kept going. Allen learned to play drums with one arm, and the group stuck together. Over the years, they’ve stayed strong with their original lineup, including Joe Elliott on vocals and Phil Collen on guitar. They’ve toured the world many times and kept releasing new music. Albums like Adrenalize and Slang in the ’90s showed they could grow and still rock. Fans love their high-energy shows, big guitar riffs, and songs that are easy to sing along to.
In 2025, Def Leppard is touring with Journey on a huge stadium tour across North America. The tour will kick off in July, including stops in cities like Chicago, Nashville, and Los Angeles. They are playing all their classic hits and a few songs from their 2022 album, Diamond Star Halos.
