The Orlando Magic is an American professional basketball team. The team was established in 1989. They play their home games at Amway Center. Their uniform color theme includes silver, blue, and black. Walt Disney World mainly sponsors the team. Alex Martins is the current CEO of the Magic, whereas Jeff Weltman is their president. The team's general manager is Anthony Parker, and the head coach is Jamahl Mosley.
At the 2021 NBA draft on July 29th, the Magic picked Jalen Suggs with the fifth overall pick and Franz Wagner with the eighth overall pick (obtained from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Nikola Vuevi). The Magic also made a second-round pick of Orlando native Jason Preston, but they ended up trading him to the Clippers on draft night.
The Orlando Magic finished the 2024-25 season at 41-41, placing 1st in the Southeast Division and 7th in the Eastern Conference. They clinched a playoff berth by defeating Atlanta (120-95) in the Play-In but lost 4-1 to the Boston Celtics in the First Round. Draft picks Tristan da Silva (18th) and Antonio Reeves (47th) added depth. Paolo Banchero led the scoring, but Franz Wagner stepped up during Banchero’s injury, averaging 28+ points in stretches. Wendell Carter Jr. recovered from an ankle sprain. Coach Jamahl Mosley eyes offensive upgrades for 2025-26.
