Peter Gene Hernandez (October 8, 1985) is an American record producer, singer, and songwriter professionally known by his stage name, Bruno Mars. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was interviewed by Pauly Shore on MTV in 1992 after making a cameo appearance in the film Honeymoon in Vegas. He was featured on The Arsenio Hall Show at six years old, and he spent all of elementary school playing two gigs a night with his family's band, covering the likes of Frankie Lymon and Little Anthony.
Bruno Mars became a star in 2010 when he released his first album called Doo-Wops and Hooligans. That album featured big songs like "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade." His music blends pop, soul, R&B, and funk. He has a smooth voice and catchy beats that people love to dance to. He is also known for putting on great shows where he sings, dances, and plays instruments. From the very beginning, people saw him as someone with a lot of talent and energy.
