Pittsburgh Steelers Information

The Pittsburgh Steelers is an American professional football team. The team was established on July 8, 1933. Their uniform color scheme includes black and gold. They have been playing their home games at Acrisure Stadium since 2001. Steely McBeam is the official mascot for the Steelers. The Rooney family currently owns the team. Art Rooney II is their president. The team's general manager is Omar Khan, and Mike Tomlin is the head coach.

The Pittsburgh Steelers' three primary opponents are the Cleveland Browns, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Cincinnati Bengals, all of whom are in the same division as them. The team has long-standing animosities with several other teams, including the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, New York Giants, and Tennessee Titans. All of these teams have played in the playoffs. Additionally, they have an intrastate rivalry with the Philadelphia Eagles but only meet once every four years due to the scheduling of both clubs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Grupo Imagen have a nationwide radio broadcasting agreement, with Imagen stations covering 17 different Mexican cities. Famous sportscasters have come up through the ranks of the Steelers organization. Myron Cope, who worked as a radio color commentator for the Steelers for 35 seasons (1970-2004), is the most well-known of these people.

The Steelers head into 2025 with a new face under center after signing Russell Wilson in the offseason. Following a 10–7 finish and an early playoff exit last year, Pittsburgh is hoping veteran leadership at quarterback can stabilize the offense. They also drafted center Zach Frazier and wide receiver Malachi Corley to boost protection and playmaking. On defense, the Steelers remain solid, led by T.J. Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick. No major trades shook up the roster, but the focus was on building around Wilson and shoring up weak spots. Pittsburgh opens the season against the defending champion Chiefs in a tough road test.
