Goose began turning heads in the jam band world around 2016 with their lively shows and unique blend of rock, funk, and indie sounds. The band was formed in Connecticut and includes Rick Mitarotonda, Peter Anspach, Trevor Weekz, Ben Atkind, and Jeff Arevalo. Their music features long solos, group improvising, and upbeat rhythms that get crowds moving. Goose first established a loyal fan base by playing at small clubs and festivals. By 2019, their shows were getting bigger, and people started talking about them as the next big jam band.
As the band kept touring, their fan base grew fast. They became known for changing up their setlist every night and jamming songs in new ways. Albums like Shenanigans Nite Club and Dripfield showcased their studio sound, but it was their live shows that truly made them stand out. They have played major festivals like Bonnaroo and SweetWater and even teamed up with bands like Trey Anastasio Band and Umphrey’s McGee.
