Denver Broncos Information
The Broncos is a professional American football franchise established on August 14, 1959. It began play in 1960 as an American Football League (AFL) charter member. The team joined the NFL as part of the merger in 1970. The Broncos are presently owned by the Walton-Penner organization. The team's home games are played at Empower Field at Mile High. Before the 2000 season, Denver played its home games at Mile High Stadium. Their standard uniform theme is white, blue, and orange.
The Broncos sent franchise legend Von Miller to the Los Angeles Rams on November 1, 2021. It was in exchange for a pair of draft picks in the second and third rounds of the 2022 NFL season. Miller was the only non-special teams player still with the Broncos from Denver's Super Bowl 50 roster. He was also the team's longest-tenured player at the time of the transaction. The Broncos' 7-10 record in 2021 led to head coach Vic Fangio's dismissal on January 8, 2022, following a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Denver Broncos acquired Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks' 2022 fourth-round pick on March 16, 2022. It was in exchange for Drew Lock, Noah Fant, Shelby Harris, Denver's 2022 first-round pick (No. 9), Denver's 2022 second-round pick (No. 40), Denver's 2023 first- and second-round picks, and Denver's 2022 fifth-round pick.
The Broncos head into 2025 looking to reset after a rough 2024 season that ended with a 7–10 record and more questions than answers at quarterback. Denver made a bold move by drafting Bo Nix out of Oregon in the first round, hoping he could bring some long-term stability under center. They also picked up receiver Javon Baker and linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. to add depth on both sides of the ball. The team moved on from Russell Wilson in the offseason, turning the page on a costly chapter. The Broncos open the season against the Raiders, aiming to turn things around fast.
