Trentemoller Information
Anders Trentmoller is a Danish multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer specializing in electronic and indie music. Vordingborg, Denmark, is the place of his birth. Trentemller debuted as a musician in the late '90s, releasing music under various indie rock monikers. After a slew of electronic-focused 12-inch EPs, Trentemller finally dropped his eponymous first album in 2006. He formed his first live band in 2007, which included drummer Henrik Vibskov and guitarist Mikael Simpson.
The subsequent "Trentemller: Live In Concert" tour, featuring visuals by director Karim Ghahwagi, brought him to the United States for the first time, in addition to festivals such as Glastonbury (UK), Roskilde (Denmark), and Melt! (Germany). Unreleased songs, non-album tracks, and remixes for artists including Röyksopp, Moby, and The Knife were collected in 2009's The Trentemller Chronicles, a double collection.
As a headliner, he played in front of 60,000 people on the Orange Stage at Roskilde Festival, featuring a Vibskov set. Trentemller's second album, Into the Great Wide Yonder, was published in 2010 after he founded his record company, In My Room. It shifted toward a more analog sound, with live instruments and vocals, influenced by indie and post-punk.
