Thomas Grennan (June 8, 1995) is an English singer and songwriter. He was born in Bedford into an Irish family and is currently based in London. He went to Bedford’s St. Thomas More Upper School. He was attacked on the street when he was 18 years old, and his jaw was left with four metal plates and screws.
Grennan’s musical beginnings are unknown, but he claims to have performed “Seaside” by the Kooks at a house party. He had no recollection of it, but his companions were impressed and encouraged him to do more. He went to St. Mary’s University in Twickenham to study acting. He began performing with his acoustic guitar around London when he was 18, primarily in small pubs. After hearing him perform at the Finsbury Pub, an Insanity Records official approached him and offered him a deal.
Charlie Hugall produced his debut EP, Something in the Water. He got his break when he was included in Chase & Status’ 2016 hit “All Goes Wrong,” which Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show named “Hottest Record.” Later, he was invited to appear on the station’s Live Lounge and a subsequent appearance on BBC Two’s Later... with Jools Holland. The song charted at number 65 in the United Kingdom Singles Chart. It is also charted in some European countries.
