Tiny Moving Parts is a rock band that is based in Benson, Minnesota. The current lineup of the group consists of Dylan Mattheisen (lead vocals and guitar), William "Bill" Chevalier (drums), and Matthew Chevalier (bass guitar and backing vocals). The band was formed by brothers Matthew and William along with their cousin Dylan. The founding members of the band were students at Benson High School and began playing together in junior high and, since then, have been playing together.
Tiny Moving Parts released its first album entitled "Waves Rise, Waves Recede, the Ocean is Full of Waves" in 2009. The band immediately started working on its second album right after the first album released on June 19, 2010, entitled "Antarctica." "This Couch Is Long & Full of Friendship" was the third album by the band, released on January 13, 2013, on Kind of Like Records. The group gave away a free download on June 12 named "Clouds Above My Head."
After releasing their recent album, Tiny Moving Parts started touring alongside Hostage Calm, Frameworks, and The Front Bottoms. The group performed with Japanther in March 2014. They have worked with a few record labels so far, including Hopeless Records, Kind of Like, Triple Crown, and Big Scary Monsters. The band has released a few more studio albums so far, such as Pleasant Living (2014), Celebrate (2016), Swell (2018), and Breathe (2019).
