Tim Snider is an American musical artist who wanted to play violin from an early age. He took his musical inspiration from Itzhak Perlman when he visited one of his performances on Sesame Street. At the time, Snider was just three and a half years old. He kept working on his music, and other influences also came into his play over the years. He then dropped the violin and picked up a guitar when Snider started taking an interest in rock music. One of the Ben Harper gigs turned Snider into songwriting. He returned to college and spent time studying jazz. He soon rediscovered his love of classical music that made him pick up the violin once again.
For the past few years, Snider has been touring the world more regularly than ever. He has become the renowned violinist for the American band, Nahko and Medicine for the People. He has performed to many sold-out crowds in amphitheaters such as Rogers Center, Suntrust Park, and Red Rocks.
Snider has also been invited to some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Glastonbury, Caliroots, Byron Bay Blues, and Bonnaroo. Also, he has performed his original music in festivals and venues throughout North America, Brazil, Australia, and Europe.
Snider has worked with many notable artists such as Cas Haley, Hirie, Dispatch, Talib Kweli, Satsang, Nahko, Mike Love, and Trevor Hall.
