Tigercub Information
Tigercub is an American rock band. The group's current lineup consists of Jimi Wheelwright, James Allix, and Jamie Stephen Hall. In 2011, Hall and Allix created Tigercub. The group first came together at Brighton College. Wheelwright joined Hall and Allix in the year 2012. 2013 the band recorded their Hands EP at Brighton Electric and published it independently. Tigercub's next song, "Blue Blood," was co-produced by Matt Bigland of Dinosaur Pile-Up and Tom Dalgety.
The band's debut commercial album, "Blue Blood," came out in 2014 on Raygun Records. After that, Royal Blood asked Tigercub to join them on a UK tour. In 2014, Jazz Life published a double A-side featuring the band's performances of "Centrefold" and "Trendsetter," recorded at Brighton Electric with Dalgety.
Tigercub's "Destroy"/"You" double A-side was issued on limited-edition vinyl by Too Pure Records and digitally by Brighton's Cannibal Hymns. Meet Tigercub is an exclusive CD compilation published in Japan by P-Vine Records and in Australia by Smack Face Music. In November 2015, Tigercub signed with VENN Records to issue their debut album, Repressed Semantics. To promote the EP, Tigercub embarked on their first headlining tour of the United Kingdom and then continued to play a string of shows across Europe with backing from Dilly Dally.
