The Weight Band is an American ensemble that originated from the Woodstock, New York barn of Levon Helm in 2013. The group’s lineup consists of Jim Weider (guitar, mandolin, and vocals), Michael Bram (drums and vocals), Brian Mitchell (keyboards and vocals), Matt Zeiner (keyboard and vocals), and Albert Rogers (bass and vocals). The band toured extensively during its initial years of playing live music. The Weight Band featured hit songs from the treasured catalog and new original tracks that complement the band’s timeless legacy.
Relix Magazine spotlighted the Weight Band in two significant pieces; a profile on the group in a June 2018 issue and a review of World Gone Mad. The band released its debut album entitled “World Gone Mad” in February 2018. The album was an Americana/Roots Rock masterpiece of the Woodstock sound. The band’s latest album entitled “Live is a Carnival” was released in 2020.
The Weight Band has been keeping the Woodstock music alive, defining it as an era as an unforgettable period. One of the latest hit singles by the group is “Common Man.”
