The Schizophonics Information
The Schizophonics are an American rock and roll band that founded in San Diego in 2009. The group was founded by singer/guitarist Pat Beers and drummer Lety Beers. Since its formation, the band has been playing hundreds of shows around the globe. Their music is defined as fuzz rock, psychedelic, and heavy soul. Initially, during its career, the duo was recruited as the opening band for EL VEZ, which helped the two of them to make a name in Europe. Since then, The Schizophonics have played in fourteen countries and supported tours by like-minded acts, including Little Barrie, The Woggles, and Rocket From The Crypt.
The Schizophonics have opened for the Hives, Damned, and Cage The Elephant. The group is stated to be more than just an outstanding live act; they are passionately committed to writing memorable songs. The band has worked with Munster, Ugly Things, and Pig Baby Records, and, over the past few years, released two singles and an EP. Their first full-length album was released in July 2017, entitled Land Of The Living, released via Sympathy For The Record Industry.
The Schizophonics also released their second LP entitled People in the Sky, on October 31st, 2019 on Pig Baby Records. The duo is said to be heavily influenced by artists like Jimi Hendrix, Little Richard, James Brown, Iggy Pop, and The Sonics.
