The Orange Constant Information
The Orange Constant (TOC) is a rock and contemporary band formed in 2012 in Georgia. The current lineup of the group consists of Sam Groveman (drums), Chris Freiberg (keyboards), Tyler Walker (bass and vocals), Nickelous Benson (guitar and vocals), and Andrew Brantley (guitar and vocals). The band’s sound ranges from progressive composition to southern psychedelia.
TOC released its debut album entitled “Time to Go” in June 2015. The album was recorded with John Keane, a Grammy-nominated producer. Shortly after the release, TOC won the Flagpole Athens Music Award for best “jam/funk” band in 2016. Since then, the group has headlined the nationally acclaimed festival, AthFest.
In March 2017, TOC released its second album entitled “Point of Reference.” The album was recorded in Athens, Georgia, and produced by Drew Vandenberg. The album demonstrates an urge to break genre restrictions.
In May 2020, another album was released by the group named Peel. The album solidified the sonic spectrum of TOC with catchy chorus rides, heartfelt anthems, and instrumental mastery with psychedelic undertones. The group works hard on creating songs that differ from one another and possess their character.
