The Garden Information
The Garden is an experimental rock duo that is based in Orange County, California. The pair consists of Wyatt Shears and Fletcher Shears. They are twin brothers who formed The Garden in 2011 when they were only 17. It started as their side project, but the twins eventually began pursuing The Garden full time. The duo’s name was a metaphor for their music evolving and “growing.”
Once they decided to pursue The Garden full time, they began to play big shows. In May 2012, the group released its self-titled extended play on cassette. Their next release was entitled “Everything Is Perfect in December.” The duo created a song named “I’m a Woman” with a video that was released late in 2012. The album, “The Life and Times of a Paperclip,” was their debut released in July 2013.
Just a month later, The Garden released another extended play entitled “Rules EP.” Throughout 2014, the duo released a few more notable singles and EPs. They have campaigned for many brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Ugg, and Hugo Boss.
The Garden’s notable studio albums include Haha (2015), Mirror Might Steal Your Charm (2018), and Kiss My Super Bowl Ring (2020). Their extended play albums are Burger Records Tape (2012), Everything Is Perfect (2012), Rules (2013), and U Want the Scoop? (2017).
