The Garcia Project - Tribute to Jerry Garcia Information
The Garcia Project performs and recreates the actual setlists of the classic Jerry Garcia Band from 1976 to 1995. The project pays tribute to the Jerry Garcia Band, called “The Jerry Garcia Tribute Band” or “The Jerry Garcia Cover Band .” The current lineup consists of Mik Bondy (Guitarist and Vocalist), Kat Walkerson (Vocalist), and Dan F, Crea (Bassist).
The guitarist Mik Bondy fills the place of Jerry, believing that Jerry is irreplaceable, but we can get immersed in his music. Bondy plays two tribute guitars and recreation of Jerry’s guitar amps, speakers, and acoustic effects during the performance. He has performed as guest guitarist and vocalist with Melvin Seals and JGB.
Kat Walkerson adds to the band’s charisma with her mesmerizing heartfelt voice and radiating positive vibes. Walkerson has acted as a guest vocalist with Dark Star Orchestra and vocalist with Melvin Seals and JGB. Dan F. Crea got a strong academic background in music theory, rock, and jazz. He has gripped on using an acoustic trio of two Fender Precisions like Kahn accompanying other instruments, a modified EMG electronic system, and Steinberger flatwounds, along with Palatino electric upright bass.
The Garcia Project’s recreations do justice to the real Jerry Garcia Brand, taking thoughtful instrumentation arrangements and acoustic feeling into account.
