Theodore Anthony Nugent (December 13, 1948) is an American guitarist, singer, composer, and political activist. The Amboy Dukes were a psychedelic rock/hard rock band Nugent joined in 1963. Occasionally, he would sing lead vocals and play lead guitar.
In the 1960s, the lead guitarist for the psychedelic hard rock band The Amboy Dukes was the musician who initially gained fame as a singer-songwriter. Following the band's disbandment, Nugent released his self-titled first album in 1975, marking the beginning of his solo career. Albums such as State of Shock, Cat Scratch Fever, and Free-for-All helped him achieve prominence in the late 1970s.?
