Surrender Hill is an American duo made up of Robin Dean Salmon and Afton Seekins. Before they created this duo, the two of the musicians were solo artists. Salmon currently lives in Northern Arizona, and he was born in Durban, South Africa. Seekins born in Alaska but later moved to Arizona when she was five. The two met while playing shows in Sedona. Salmon took up songwriting at 15 years old. Seekins had moved to New York during her 20s and found success as a choreographer.
The duo took its name from the real-life Surrender Hill, which is located in South Africa. Some of their first albums include 2015's self-titled debut, 2017's Right Here Right Now, and 2018's Tore Down Fences. The last album by the duo is about relationships, delivered from the perspective of two songwriting partners. It consists of 15 songs that were tracked in two days. The founding members have been honing for years, with an annual schedule of 200 shows scattered all across the globe.
