Stormy Chromer has been around since 2014, but it has quickly become a mainstay of the live music scene in the Midwest. The band has been performing and garnering fans for about a decade, starting in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The band emphasizes musical experimentation and imaginative programming to offer an exciting, boisterous, and hypnotic live presence. Due to the band's dedication to collective improvisation, live renditions of songs by Stormy Chromer frequently diverge dramatically from the original forms.
Its members have performed with such luminaries as Aqueous, Mungion, The Werks, The Main Squeeze, Laith Al-Saadi, and Consider the Source. Stormy Chromer has performed at major festivals and events such as Summer Camp, The Werk Out, Cowpie Music Festival, and official Umphrey's Mcgee afterparties in addition to their headline tours.
First released in 2015, "Peace of Pizza EP" was followed by "A Tale of Two Mouths" in 2016 and "Solid Sessions EP" in 2018. Later, the band worked with legendary producer Chris Steinmetz to create the song "Alucinaré," released in 2019.
