Stevie B (April 19, 1958) is an American singer, record producer, and songwriter. He is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, while his origins are from Miami, Florida. Stevie was given the birth name of Toronto. His music style is defined as Latin freestyle, pop, electronic, and Latin freestyle. Stevie B was influential in the freestyle and Hi-NRG dance music scene of the late 1980s. Before his musical career, Stevie B worked a variety of jobs, including car wash, fast food, etc.
"Party Your Body" was the 1987 national club smash by Stevie B that earned him major recognition. It was also the title of the 1988 debut LP, which went gold-certified later. "I Wanna Be the One," "In My Eyes" and "Love Me For Life” were considered to be his first top 40 hits. In 1990, Stevie B released his album Love & Emotion, which earned massive success. A single included in this album "Because I Love You" enjoyed four weeks at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
The Best of Stevie B was re-released in 1998 by Stevie B, which highlighted the light dance-pop sound marking the beginning of his career. In August 2009, he released The Terminator featuring the lead single "Running for Miles," as well as the remixed rendition of one of his biggest hits, "Spring Love." Pitbull made the guest's appearance, and the music video featured Russian model Anita Sikorska.
