Tyrese (December 30, 1978), whose given name is Tyrese Darnell Gibson, is a musician and actor from the US, born in Los Angeles, California. "Sweet Lady" was the lead single off his 1998 self-titled debut album. On the US Billboard Hot 100, the record reached its highest position at No.12. I Wanna Go There, his third studio album, came out in 2002, while 2000 Watts, his second, came out in 2001.
"How You Gonna Act Like That" was the first single from the latter and became Gibson's highest-charting track, breaking the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 7. Alter Ego, his fourth album, delves into hip-hop. At the same time, Open Invitation, his fifth, was nominated for Best R&B Album at the 2011 Grammys.
While Tyrese Gibson is known for his music, he has also made a mark in the film industry. He gained early recognition for his role in the 2001 coming-of-age hood drama 'Baby Boy ', directed by John Singleton. His role as Robert Epps in the Transformers films and his collaboration with Singleton in the 2005 action flick 'Four Brothers' further established his acting career. He also made cameo appearances in 'Morbius' (2022) and 'Ride Along 2' (2016), showcasing his versatility as an actor.
Released in February 2023, the song "Don't Think You Ever Loved" includes Lenny Kravitz and Le'Andria Johnson on backing vocals. A YouTube version of the song's remix, which included 2 Chainz and Jeezy, surfaced later that month. Released on August 25, 2023, "Love Transaction" is the album's second single.
