Staind became well known in 2001 when their song “It’s Been Awhile” hit the charts. That track was part of their album Break the Cycle, which sold over 5 million copies in the U.S. The band plays heavy rock with deep, emotional lyrics. A lot of their songs talk about real-life pain and personal struggles. Aaron Lewis is the lead singer. He has a strong, deep voice that stands out. The band started 1995 in Springfield, Massachusetts, and built a strong fan base by playing hard and honest music.
