St. Lucia Information
Jean-Philip Grobler (1983) is a South African musician and singer. He is known by his musical name, St. Lucia, born in Johannesburg, South Africa. Starting in Philadelphia on January 13, 2014, Grobler toured the United States and Australia to support his album St. Lucia 2014. During an intimate acoustic show at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel in early December 2014, Grobler told stories behind his songs while St. Lucia debuted "Call Me Up" live and "All Eyes on You" acoustically for the first time.
The song "Dancing on Glass" by St. Lucia was released in October 2015, and the music video premiered in November 2015. Released in December 2015, "Physical" was the follow-up single. These two singles are taken from the January 29, 2016, release of the second studio album titled Matter. In June 2016, a music video was released for the song "Help Me Run Away," featured on the album Matter. Jean-Philip Grobler and Patti Beranek of St. Lucia, as well as Silas Adler of Danish menswear label Soulland, designed the album's cover.
Singles "A Brighter Love" and "Paradise is Waiting" were released by St. Lucia in June 2018 from their upcoming third studio album, Hyperion. In July of 2018, the follow-up song "Walking Away" was released. "A Brighter Love" and "Walking Away" had music videos released in August 2018.
