Spaceface Information
Spaceface is a psychedelic rock band. The group's current lineup consists of Daniel Quinlan, Eric Martin, Matthew Strong, and Jake Ingalls. The band's members met in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2011. In 2011, Ingalls, Strong, and Martin all piled into a shared apartment and started writing songs together. In 2012, the band added new musicians and Quinlan, who operates the light show by using a "series of on and off switches, which Quinlan runs off to the side of the stage." By the end of the year, they had officially started touring.
The group's self-titled EP, Spaceface EP, was released in 2014. In 2015, the band recorded in Memphis's Ardent Studios and issued another E.P. titled Live at Ardent Studios. They've performed at several major American music festivals, including South by Southwest and Hangout. Sun Kids, their debut studio album, was released on April 21, 2017.
SXSW, Desert Daze, Canadian Music Week, Treefort Music Fest, Hangout Music Festival, God Save The Queen City, and Distorsion Psych Fest are just a few of the international events the collective has played over their eight years on the road. The ever-evolving American act gives their devoted fanbase with D.I.Y. performances that only get crazier as they improve their experimental craft, complete with state-of-the-art light shows and projectors and often accompanied by bizarre stage items and gadgets.
