Slumberjack Information
Slumberjack is an Australian electronic music duo. The current lineup of the group consists of Morgan "Yee Sheng" Then and Fletcher Ehlers. It was at a DJ competition when they and Ehlers first made acquainted in 2011. After Ehlers won in 2011 and Then in 2012, they became friends and started hanging out together, inevitably leading to spending time in the studio. The day they were able to record in the studio with Mr. Carmack was the beginning of the end for Slumberjack's struggles.
After meeting at a DJ competition the year before, Then and Ehlers began collaborating on music, and Mr. Carmack eventually joined them in the studio to create new music. Early in their existence, they issued an EP titled Themselves to widespread critical praise. Their 2015 was spent on the road supporting Alison Wonderland at "secret warehouse shows" and in the studio creating new material.
This year, Slumberjack released the "Black & Blue" EP, which featured several guest appearances by notable musicians such as Daktyl and FOMO. About this time, Slumberjack began releasing "Distillation Mixes," which featured a combination of original Slumberjack material and covers of songs that had influenced the band's style.
