American blues, soul, and roots musician Riyen Roots make his home in the musically fertile mountains surrounding Asheville, North Carolina. Currently, he is one of the busiest performers in the southeastern United States. Having averaged over 150 games each year for the past 15 years. His original music is being aired on dozens of radio stations, both locally and globally, and he is quickly becoming a household name after opening for major performers and performing at festivals on both sides of the country.
His current album, The Blues and Beyond, with his band Roots and Dore, has received universal acclaim. The Muddy Waters Band's "Steady Rolling" Bob Margolin, David Holt, Doc Watson's partner and a Grammy winner, and Tony Black, the bass player for the Marshall Tucker Band, all make cameos. RDB (Roots & Dore Band) was created in 2017, and the band is now thriving, performing at major festivals and releasing a new album this fall/winter.
