Trampled By Turtles Information
The Duluth, Minnesota-based folk band Trampled by Turtles plays music with bluegrass influences. Three of their ten studio albums peaked at number one on Billboard's bluegrass album list in the United States. For 52 weeks in a row, their fifth album, Palomino, remained in the top ten charts. Their most recent album, Alpenglow, came out on October 28, 2022. Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Pickathon, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Stagecoach, and Bumbershoot are just a few national festivals the band has played at.
Telluride Bluegrass, Newport Folk, Floydfest, Pilgrimage, and ROMP: Bluegrass Roots & Branches Festival were among the major folk music festivals they played at in 2011. In 2012, they appeared at various music festivals, including Outside Lands in San Francisco, Sasquatch, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Firefly, Rock the Garden, All Good Music, and Newport Folk.
The group Trampled by Turtles first appeared on Letterman's Late Show on April 24, 2012. They performed music from their 2014 album Wild Animals again on July 16, 2014's Late Show with David Letterman. The band is one of several artists to receive a star on the exterior mural of the legendary Minneapolis nightclub First Avenue in recognition of their sold-out performances or other significant cultural contributions.
