Rival Sons Information
Rival Sons are one of the famous American rock bands that were formed in the year 2009. The band originated from Long Beach, California. The current group member list consists of guitarist Scott Holiday, lead vocalist Jay Buchanan, drummer Michael Miley, and bassist Dave Beste. Rival Sons are often joined by Todd Ögren, a touring keyboard player when the band is on the road. The music style of the group is often described as rock and roll, hard rock, and blues-rock type.
The debut album by Rival Sons was Before the Fire (2009), which was produced by Dave Cobb Jay. This release was followed by a self-titled EP. This EP was independently released in 2010. Pressure & Time 2011, Head Down 2012, Great Western Valkyrie 2014, Hollow Bones 2016, and Feral Roots 2019 are some other discographies by the band.
A few of the notable singles released by Rival Sons include; "All Over the Road," "Face of Light," "Company Man/Life for This Road," "Until the Sun Comes," "You Want To," "Open My Eyes," "All That I Want," "Thundering Voices," "Shooting Stars," "Too Bad," and many more. The band also performed the race track, which was performed during a televised show of The Indianapolis 500. River Sons also performed at the Gene Simmons' “Aces & Angels” Super Bowl party (February 2, 2011), SXSW, Hangout Festival, and The Viper Room. The band extensively toured all across Europe as well.
Rival Sons won one Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards as the Breakthrough Artist in 2012. The band was nominated twice for the same award in 2011 and 2014. In 2019, Rival Sons earned two Grammy Awards nominees for Best Rock Performance and Album of the Year.
