Reo Brothers Information
The Rao Brothers is a Filipino rock band. The current lineup consists of Roy Mark (keys), Ralph (keyboards, bass, and lead vocals), Raymart (keyboards, rhythm guitar, and lead vocals), Ronjoseph (keyboards, lead guitar, and lead vocals), and Reno (drums and lead vocals). Lead singer Ronjoseph Otic began teaching himself how to play the drums in 2005 after creating drums out of tin cans coated in potato-chip bags.
He first mastered the drums before moving on to the guitar, which he later taught to his three siblings, Ralph, Reno, and Raymart. They began playing OPM music and songs influenced by their father's collection of the 1950s–1970s tunes by artists like The Beatles, Bee Gees, Cliff Richard, etc. On March 11, 2014, the band played at the Pinoy Relief Benefit Concert in New York City's Theater at Madison Square Garden alongside other artists, including Jennifer Hudson, Pentatonix, Plain White T's, A Great Big World, DJ Poet Name Life, and Charice.
After New York, the band took the stage at the Rotary Club of Historic Filipinotown in Glendale's Here Comes the Sun benefit concert in Southern California. The band played at the Damo Nga Salamat ("Thank You Very Much") concert, organized by The Philippine Assistance Group, on June 14, 2014, at the Sun Pearl Arakawa in Tokyo, Japan. The Reo Brothers performed at the occasion along with Sayaka Akimoto, Charito, and the FilCom Chorale.
