Rebel Souljahz Information
Rebel Souljahz came from humble beginnings in the backyards of Waipahu, Hawaii, with four friends with a natural talent for performing. After beginning as an acapella group in high school, they became popular in Honolulu's social circles and nightlife hotspots.
The Rebel Souljahz boys (Mike Maglinti, Will Su'a, Bubba Hodges, and Kulani Cozo) teamed up with Imua Garza (Opihi Pickers, Kaipo, Kawao) as producer/arranger for their debut album Nothing To Hide, which is an all-original island music spectacular.
Songs like "Darling Angel," "Nothing to Hide," and "The One" by Rebel Souljahz are sure to win over fans of both mainstream island music and Hawaii's native island reggae.
On the slow jam "I'm Not The Man For You," the group's trademark vocal sound is on full display, with Will Su'a's dulcet tenor lead vocals contrasting with Mike Maglinti's harsh bluesy lead vocals and then being augmented by the close harmonies of Bubba Hodges and Kulani Cozo.
There's also "Irie Beach Party" and "Countryside Party," two reggae party anthems that have been starting the dance parties at clubs and will do the same everywhere there's a music player.
