Prism Information
Prism is a rock band that was formed in 1977 in Vancouver. The group was originally active from 1977 to 1984, and then they restarted their career in 1987. The band’s current lineup consists of Al Harlow, Gary Grace, Marc Gladstone, and Tad Goddard. Fairbairn produced the debut album by Prism, and, at that time, Prism had no permanent lineup for the recording. Still, Fairbairn hired a few employee musicians from the local Vancouver music scene.
Before recording the next album, Prism had a few changes to its lineup. The changes remained fixed for approximately the next three years. The group has released several notable singles throughout its career, including “I Ain’t Lookin’ Anymore,” “Spaceship Superstar,” “Open Soul Surgery,” “It’s Over,” “Take Me to the Kaptin,” “Take Me Away,” “See Forever Eyes,” “You’re Like the Wind,” “You Walked Away Again,” “Night to Remember,” “Young and Restless,” “American Music,” and “I Don’t Want to Want You Anymore.”
Prism has worked with a few record labels, including GRT Records, Capitol Records, and Spinner Music Group. The band’s notable studio albums include Prism (1977), See Forever Eyes (1978), Armageddon (1979), Young and Restless (1980), Small Change (1981), Beat Street (1983), Jericho (1993), and Big Black Sky (2008).
