Post Animal Information
Post Animal is a psychedelic rock band. The current lineup consists of Dalton Allison (bass and vocals), Jake Hirshland (guitar and keyboard), Javi Reyes (guitar), Wesley Toledo (drums), and Matt Williams (guitar). The band was formed in 2014, originating from Chicago, Illinois. All of the band members share songwriting contributions to their records and sing lead vocals on their respective compositions.
Post Animal’s musical style has been described as the band’s sound as if Tame Impala has listened to many Black Sabbath, and they were signed to Elephant 6. Post Animal self-released its debut EP, Post Animal Perform the Most Curious Water Activities, in 2015. Other EPs of the band include The Garden Series (2016) and Worried About You (2020).
In 2017, Post Animal signed a record deal with Polyvinyl and played Shaky Knees and Bonnaroo during its 2018 season. On April 20, 2018, Post Animal released its debut full-length album entitled, When I Think of You in a Castle. In 2020, the band released its second album, Forward Motion Godyssey. Some notable singles of Post Animal are “How Do You Feel,” “Fitness,” “Schedule,” “Safe or Not-Extended Mix” (2019), and “Special Moment” (2017).
