Pop Evil Information
Pop Evil is an American rock band that was formed in 2001 in North Muskegon, Michigan. Leigh Kakaty formed the group, and it currently consists of Leigh Kakaty, Dave Grahs, Matt DiRito, Nick Fuelling, and Hayley Cramer. PopEvil played at the clubs for initial years after creating a group.
PopEvil released an independent album by the name, War of the Roses in 2004 as well as EP of three songs entitled, Ready or Not in 2006. Slowly and gradually, the band got success and eventually signed their management deal with G&G Entertainment.
PopEvil released their debut studio album on August 12, 2008, entitled Lipstick on the Mirror. They also featured radio favorites “Stepping Stone,” “Somebody Like You,” “Hero,” and “100 in a 55”. The album was released on Pazzo Music, which was through the Universal Music Group subsidiary called Fontana Distribution. Later, in April 2008, the PopEvil released its first national radio single that turned out to be successful and reached the top 25 at Active Rock radio. The band announced their first-ever Australian tour in March 2019.
PopEvil signed a deal with Cherry Lane Publishing in April 2009. The same year in May, the band released the remastered/remixed “Lipstick on the Mirror” under Universal Republic Records. The group went on the tour in July and August 2009, along with Whitesnake. The purpose of this tour was to support Judas Priest on the British Steel 30th Anniversary North American tour. They have released a few more studio albums, including War of Angels (2011), Onyx (2013), Up (2015), and Pop Evil (2018).
