Jordan Timothy Jenks, also known as Pi’erre Bourne, is an American record producer, rapper, and audio engineer. Jenks was born in Kansas but grew up in Columbia, New York City.
Jenks shifted to Atlanta to study sound engineering at SAE institute. He started working for Epic Records as a sound engineer in 2015 but quit a year later to pursue his profession. In 2016, Jenks started producing for Young Nudy and Trippie Redd. He and Playboi Carti collaborated on “Woke Up Like This.” Their song “Magnolia” ranked 29 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
All those productions, recordings, and collaborations helped Jenks’ produce his career, producing songs for 21 Savage, Trippie Redd, Famous Dex, Nav, Rich the Kid, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, and Lil Uzi Vert. He published a series of mixtapes called The Life of Pierre. “Travis Scott’s Watch” features Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert. In 2019, Bourne and Young Nudy collaborated to release “Slim Erre.” On the Billboard’s Hot 100 Producers chart, Jenks debuted at No.one on March 25, 2020.
On the release of “The Life of Pierre,” Jenks got himself a placement on Drake’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes with “Pain 1993”. He won his first Grammy Award in March 2021 for his production work. Interscope released Jenks’ second studio album, “The Life of Pi’erre 5”, on June 11, 2021, under Pi’erre’s label imprint, “SossHouse.”
