Paul Weller Information
Paul John Weller (May 25, 1958) is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. In the late 1970s, Weller rose to stardom as a member of the band The Jam. After the Jam broke up in 1982, he shifted gears musically and found more success with the Style Council (1983–1989). He then solidified his solo career by releasing his self-titled album in 1992.
Weller is still more of a national star than an international one, and most of his music is based on English culture, even though he has received extensive critical acclaim as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. Lyrics concerning the working class were prevalent in several of his Jam songs. Will Of The People, an album of B-sides and rarities, was published by Weller on October 28, 2022.
Weller's 66th studio album was announced in early 2024 and was scheduled to be released in May—the day before Weller's 66th birthday. It took Weller three years to record at Black Barn, his studio in Surrey. According to rumors, the album will feature string arrangements by Hannah Peel and participation from Richard Hawley, Erland Cooper, Max Beesley, and Dr. Robert of the Blow Monkeys.
