Osees Information
Osees is an American rock band that formed in 1997 in San Francisco, California. It is now based in Los Angeles, California. The current lineup of the group includesJohn Dwyer (vocals, guitar, keyboard, and flute), Tim Hellman (bass guitar), Dan Rincon (drums), Paul “Biohazard” Quattrone (drums), and Tomas Dolas (keyboards). Their music incorporates such a wide range of rock genres as 1980s post-punk, art-punk, noise rock, punk rock, psychedelic rock, and garage rock. The band started as Orinoka Crash Suite (1997-2003). It went through several name changes such as OCS (2003-2005, 2017), Orange County Sound (2005), The Ohsees (2006), Oh Sees (2017-2019), and eventually Osees (2020-present).
In 2003, Osees released its first album entitled “1.” It was based on acoustic songs. In 2004, they released “2”. On May 30, 2005, the group released an album, Songs About Death & Dying Vol. 3, as OCS. A few of the other notable albums by the band with different names include Memory of a Cut Off Head (November 17, 2017), Sucks Blood (May 15, 2007), The Master’s Bedroom Is Worth Spending a Night In (2008), Putrifiers II (September 11, 2015), Floating Coffin (April 16, 2013), Drop (April 15, 2014), Mutilator Defeated at Last (May 18, 2015), and Smote Reverser (August 17, 2018).
