Mike Farris Information
Mike Farris (1968) is an American musician. He was born in Winchester, Tennessee. With the McCrary Sisters on board, Farris put out SHOUT! Live as Mike Farris & the Roseland Rhythm Revue on April 14, 2009. Throughout four nights, he recorded the album at his Station Inn residency. Farris' 2014 album Shine for All the People was named Best Roots Gospel Album at the Grammys, which she received on February 8, 2015. Farris started filming Kingsley Sparrow's "Golden Wings" music video on May 1, 2018. Sebastian Smith shot and directed the video.
The album Silver & Stone came out on September 7, 2018. Among the notable musicians who contributed to it were Derrek Phillips (Robben Ford, Hank Williams Jr.), Reese Wynans (Joe Bonamassa, Double Trouble), Joe Bonamassa, a long-time colleague of Farris Paul Brown (Waterboys, Ann Peebles), and Dave Lancio (John Hiatt).
Multiple print and digital media outlets have praised the album. During the 2019 Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum Concert and Induction Ceremony, Farris opened the show with a rendition of Deep Purple's "Hush." In July 2022, three of Farris's seven sold-out concerts with the Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies took place in Nashville, TN, the band's original home base.
