Michael Glabicki quit education to form a band nearly 30 years ago. There was a moment when he was completely unsure of his next steps. Two years of Glabicki's life were devoted to honing his songwriting and artistic skills. Soon after, the foundation of Rusted Root was laid.
The Pittsburgh ensemble has won multiple platinum records, formed around Michael Glabicki's signature sound, and eventually became an independent musical phenomenon. Dramatic performances are the foundation of Rusted Root's career; their polyrhythmic, multicultural rock-and-soul attracted admirers like a junkyard magnet during their nationwide tour.
Glabicki is essentially beginning from scratch. He's pushing himself to write in unconventional ways to produce an original audio environment. Michael plays stripped-down acoustic renditions of all the new songs and old favorites Rusted Root has been playing, accompanied by Rusted Root's longtime guitar player and background vocalist, Dirk Miller.
