Makari Information
Makari is an American ambient rock band. The current lineup consists of Kevin Beljan (drums), John Tomasso (bass), and Eric Stewart (guitarist). After 2017's release, Andy Cizek (WVNDER) of YouTube fame took up vocal duties from Pearson. In 2018, Makari played several tours as both a co-headliner and a support act, including tours with Adventurer and Wolf & Bear, as well as tours in the summer and fall with Kurt Travis.
Makari performed at Vans Warped Tour '18 on August 3. Makari's self-titled debut studio album, produced by Andrew Wade, was released on August 3, 2018, to critical acclaim. In 2019, Makari backed Kurt Travis on his "There's a Place I Want to Take You" tour, played fall dates with Slaves and Picturesque, and co-headlined spring tours with Softspoken and Calling All Captains in promotion of the album.
Using songs from Hyperreal and Elegies, Makari released an acoustic EP, Alternate, on InVogue Records in 2020. Following the success of this album, Makari severed relations with InVogue records and embarked on a solo career. In 2020, Makari brought out Continuum EP with contributions from Matt Beljan (guitar) and Andy Cizek (vocals). In 2011, Makari was established as a band. Makari's acoustic song "Phantom" was released on May 13, 2022.
