Madball Information
Madball is a New York hardcore punk band founded in the late 1980s. The group was created as a side project of Agnostic Front featuring the most of Agnostic Front's members. The current lineup of the group consists of Freddy Cricien – lead vocals, Jorge "Hoya Roc" Guerra – bass, backing vocals, Mike Justian – drums, backing vocals, and Mike Gurnari – guitars. Some of the past members included Vinnie Stigma, Rob Rosario, Darren Morgenthaler, Matt Henderson, and many more.
Initially, Madball performed unused Agnostic Front songs. The band's first release was the E.P. Ball of Destruction E.P. in 1989. The E.P. followed it, Droppin' Many Suckers, for Wreck-Age Records. In 1994, the band was signed by Roadrunner Records and released a pair of full-lengths, Set It Off, and Demonstrating My Style in 1996. The group participated in the N.Y.H.C. documentary in 1995.
Some of the notable discographies by the band include Look My Way (1998), Hold It Down (2000), Legacy (2005), Infiltrate the System (2007), Empire (2010), Hardcore Lives (2014), and For the Cause (2018). The other two E.P.s by the band are N.Y.H.C. E.P. (2004) and Rebellion (2012), along with one compilation entitled Best of Madball (2003).
Madball comprises a part of New York's D.M.S. Crew alike bands like Vietnom, Bulldoze, Resistance, H2O, Agnostic Front, and a few more. The group has worked with many labels such as Good Fight Music, Ferret Music, Wreck-Age, and Roadrunner.
