Lagwagon Information
Lagwagon is an American band that deals in the punk rock genres. The group originated from Goleta, California. This is just outside Santa Barbara. It was founded in 1989. The band’s name was taken from their tour van, which can also be seen on their album’s back cover. The group went on a hiatus in 2000 but later, they reunited. The current lineup of the Lagwagon consists of Joey Cape – vocals, Chris Flippin – guitar, Dave Raun – drums, Chris Rest – guitar, and Joe Raposo – bass. Lindsay McDougall, Scott Shiflett, and Chris Shiflett are the three touring members.
Lagwagon has released 12 albums to date via Fat Wreck Chords. The band never gained strong mainstream success, neither was it their goal. But the band members do enjoy a devoted underground following in Europe, Asia, and the US. One of their songs named “May 16,” was featured in Pro Skater 2 by Tony Hawk. Before going on a hiatus in 2000, Lagwagon released two albums entitled Let’s Talk About Feelings and Double Platinum.
Some of the notable singles and music videos released by Lagwagon include “Island of Shame” from Trashed, “Falling Apart” from Blaze, “Heartbreaking Music” from Resolve, “Surviving California” from Railer,” Stealing Light” from Railer, “Made of Broken Parts” from Hang, and a few more. Some of the prominent compilations by the band are “Noble End” on Can of Pork, “Raise a Family” on Physical Fatness, “May 16” on Life in the Fast Lane, “Never Stops” on Uncontrollable Fatulence, among others.
