Junkyard Information
Junkyard is an American hard rock band that originated from Los Angeles, California. The group was founded in 1987, and its music is defined as hard rock. The band’s current lineup consists of David Roach - lead vocals, Patrick Muzingo – drums, Todd Muscat - bass guitar, Tim Mosher – guitar, and Jimmy James – guitar. Some of the former members include Max Gottlieb, Clay Anthony, Johnny Hell, and Chris Gates.
Although Junkyard was heavily influenced by Southern rock, they perform more in the realm of hard rock. The band signed a contract with Geffen Records in January 1988 and released a self-titled debut album issued in 1989. Two notable songs included in the album are “Hollywood” and “Simple Man.” Another album followed it in 1991 entitled Sixes, Sevens & Nines and was produced by Ed Stasium. Shut Up - We’re Trying To Practice! was the third album by Junkyard in 2000.
Some of the other notable studio albums released so far by Junkyard are Tried and True 2003, Put it on Ten and Pull the Knobs Off! 2008, and High Water 2017. The band also released hit singles, including “All the Time in the World,” “Misery Loves Company,” “Nowhere to go but Down,” and “Slippin’ Away.” Junkyard has worked with two record labels to date, Geffen Records and Acetate Records.
