Music by the three-piece band Juniper draws from various styles, including alternative rock, chamber pop, folk, and R&B. The group regularly tours the northeastern United States from its headquarters in Boston. Scott Johnson, Alejandro Marin, and Ahren Shreeve are the members of Juniper. Their music is varied and interesting, with some tracks being more upbeat and others delving more delicately into introspective themes. Early on, the band was popular in Boston's alternative music scene, playing in basements and small clubs. There has been a significant increase in Juniper's devoted following since then.
In 2021, Juniper published their debut album titled Distance Keeps Me Distant, which was hailed by many prominent music critics. More than 111,000 people listen to the ensemble every month on Spotify. "Here for the First Time," their most popular track, has been streamed nearly one million times. Please Cease Calling," another top hit from the band, has been heard over a million times. Juniper has played at clubs such as New York City's Mercury Lounge, Washington, DC's DC9 Cabaret, and Brooklyn's The Sultan Room.
