Jorge Celedón, better known by his stage name Jorgito Celedón, is a vallenato singer and musician from Colombia. Celedon has been a talented vocalist since he grew up singing vallenato. The band Doble Poder, which he co-founded with his uncle Daniel Celedón, was his performing debut. Because of this, he became a vallenato superstar as an adult.
Celedón joined the vallenato ensemble Binomio de Oro de America following Rafael Orozco Maestre's death and sang backing. He linked up with accordionist Jimmy Zambrano in 1998 to form his vallenato duo. The Latin Grammys were held in Miami on August 29, 2007, and Celedon and his vallenato quartet were nominated.
Celedón and accordionist Jimmy Zambrano took home the trophy in the Cumbia/Vallenato category at the 8th Annual Latin Grammy Awards event in Las Vegas, United States, on November 8, 2007, for their album Son... Para El Mundo (Sony BMG Music/North). He had the opportunity to play for President George W. Bush at a White House event honoring Colombian Independence Day in July 2008.
