Jeff Pitchell Information
Jeff Pitchell (April 11, 1966) is an American singer, guitar, songwriter, actor, instructor, and recording artist born in Hartford, Connecticut. Pitchell was a guitar player at 15. He won the Best Guitarist in State of Connecticut contest that was held at the University of Hartford. Since then, he has won numerous awards for notable musical performances and recordings. Eventually, Pitchell set aside his teaching career to pursue his true passion; playing the guitar and entertaining huge crowds.
In 2014, Picthell performed Southbound with the Allman Brothers Band at the Beacon Theater in New York. In March 2014, the performance was recorded and released on Peach Records/Munck Music. He has performed and recorded music with many notable artists and groups, including The Commitments, Dickey Betts, Peter Tork, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jimmie Vaughan, John Mayall, NRBQ, Thunderbirds, Fabulous, James Cotton, Dave Mason, Clarence Clemons, Ted Nugent, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Bo Diddley, Rick Derringer, and Phil Lesh.
Pitchell has also appeared on national television and radio, including the World champion Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. He has collaborated with several internationally recognized performers, including Carla Cook, Sheila Raye, Claudette King, and Michael Allman. Pitchell released his debut album entitled “Fat Cigars” in 1997. Since then, he has released many more albums, including One Day Away (1999), Face To Face (2001), Heavy Hitter (2002), One For The Fans (2006), Rockin’ Songs for Kids (2010), and American Girl (2010).
