Jason Mraz Information
Jason Thomas Mraz (June 23, 1977) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter born in Mechanicsville, Virginia. To pursue a career in musical theater, Mraz spent nearly two years after graduating from high school in New York City at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. His roommates would play guitar, and he would sing backup. Mraz eventually learned to play and compose his music after receiving a guitar from a buddy who was going to throw it away.
His 2019 single "Miracle" is the lead single from Alan Parsons's album The Secret. To further the cause of protecting the rights of music composers, Mraz was appointed the first-ever District Advocate Ambassador on August 13, 2019. A&R VP Jaime Neely, EVP of Repertoire & Marketing Thomas Scherer, VP of Marketing and Recorded Music Cyndi Lynott, and VP of Creative Synch Jonathan Palmer spearheaded BMG's three-album deal with Jason Mraz in June 2020.
Jason also started Interrobang Records, which put out Look for the Good, his album, in 2020, and One Hell of a Memory, the eighteenth studio album by singer-songwriter Gregory Page. The lead track "I Feel Like Dancing" from Mraz's forthcoming album Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride was released on February 15, 2023. The album was released on June 23, 2023—also Mraz's 46th birthday.
