Jackyl Information
Jackyl is a rock band formed in 1991, with the current lineup being Jesse James Dupree (lead vocals and guitar), Jeff Worley (guitar and backing vocals), Roman Glick (bass, guitar, and backing vocals), and Chris Worley (drums). The band released its self-titled debut via Geffen Records in 1992. The album eventually received platinum status, featuring a song entitled “She Loves My Cock” omitted from the censored versions.
In 1994, Jackyl released its second album entitled “Push Comes to Shove.” The same year, they appeared at Woodstock 94 ‘in Saugerties, New York. The two notable singles included in this record are “Headed for Destruction” and “Push Comes to Shove.” The group continued to release its exciting work over the upcoming period. In 1997, they came up with another album entitled “Cut the Crap.” A hit song entitled “Locked and Loaded” was included in the album featured guest vocals from Brian Johnson of AC/DC. He also teamed up with Jackyl for one of their other albums released later in 2002.
Jackyl made the greatest hit album, Choice Cuts, released in 1998 on Geffen Records. The other studio albums by the band include Stayin’ Alive (1998), Relentless (2002), When Moonshine and Dynamite Collide (2010), Best in Show (2012), and Rowyco (2016). Notable hit singles by Jackyl released throughout their career include “I Stand Alone,” “Down On Me,” “When Will It Rain,” “Dumb Ass Country Boy,” “We’re An American Band,” and “She’s Not a Drug.”
