Interpol Information
Interpol is an American rock band. The current lineup comprises Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler, and Sam Fogarino. Turn On the Bright Lights (2002), the debut album by Interpol, received widespread critical praise and debuted at No. 1 on Pitchfork Media's list of the year's top 50 albums. Later albums like 2004's "Antics" and 2007's "Our Love to Admire" were met with even more acclaim and sales success.
An Interpol song called "Fine Mess" that wasn't included on their album Marauder was released as a single on January 30, 2019. The band announced on March 28 that their new EP, A Fine Mess, featuring tracks recorded for Marauder but ultimately scrapped, was released on May 17, 2019. The EP's follow-up song, "The Weekend," was also released on the same day.
In the summer of 2020, Interpol began composing new material for their seventh studio album. The album was produced by Flood and Alan Moulder, who also worked on the albums Interpol (2010) and El Pintor (2014), and was recorded in London in 2021. On April 7, the album's lead song, "Toni," was released. On July 15, 2022, the album and a music video for "Gran Hotel" were published under The Other Side of Make-Believe.
