Honne Information
Honne is an English electronic music duo. The group's current lineup consists of Andy Clutterbuck (singer and producer) and James Hatcher (producer). Honne is a Japanese word that means "genuine feelings." Clutterbuck and Hatcher met in college and began composing music together in late 2014. The Telegraph has referred to Honne's sound as a "futuristic soul destined to re-invent babymaking music." Single "Warm on a Cold Night" was released by the band in September 2014 on Super Recordings.
Honne began 2015 with a sold-out performance at London's Electrowerkz in February, just before announcing the release of their EP Coastal Love via their label, Tatemae Recordings. Warm on a Cold Night, Honne's debut studio album, was released on July 22, 2016. A photograph from the evening of one of their London performances is featured on the album cover.
On August 24, 2018, Honne dropped their second studio album, Love Me/Love Me Not. Tom Misch, Georgia, Anna of the North, Beka, and Nana Rogues are the artists on the CD. This album was another step forward for the band, achieving multi-platinum or gold status in various markets. The new rendition of "Crying Over You," which features RM of BTS, was released on March 27. The pair released a raw live rendition of "Location Unknown" starring Beka on November 3, 2018.
